6041 Course Description
Morality presents the moral perspective of Catholic Christianity. It examines the process and content of moral decision making. This study and content engages, informs and challenges the students to develop a full conscious and mature sense of Christian responsibility. Social Justice explores the historical and scriptural call to faith and justice. The major areas of concern such as poverty, hunger, racial prejudice, aging, ecology and sexism are explored. This study not only promotes responsibility for peace and justice but also emphasizes the community's potential to accomplish and change. This is accomplished by fostering and challenging the students to a personal/societal response. Twelve hours of service learning per semester are required.
